To promote high-level international exchange in Nonlinear Mathematical Physics and related interdisciplinary areas, and to strengthen scholarly interaction among members of the Journal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics community and the broader international research community, an International Workshop on Nonlinear Mathematical Physics and Related Topics is tentatively planned for July 18-22, 2027 at Jilin University, Changchun, China.
This workshop is academically inspired by the scientific scope of the Journal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics and is intended to promote scholarly exchange among members of the journal community and related researchers. According to the journal’s current Aims and Scope, the covered areas include nonlinear equations of mathematical physics, difference and functional equations, integrability and non-integrability, scattering and inverse scattering, Painleve analysis, discrete integrable systems, differential geometry in mathematical physics, geometry and algebra of nonlinear equations, applications of Lie groups and Lie algebras, quantum algebras, computational and numerical problems, complex fluids, nonlinear waves, and nonlinear modeling in mathematical biology and engineering, among others.
The workshop is expected to bring together the Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Board Members, and Early Career Editorial Board Members of the journal, together with several invited distinguished scholars. To ensure a focused and productive academic atmosphere, the total number of invited participants will be limited to no more than 50.
1. Objectives
The workshop aims to:
· advance international academic exchange in nonlinear mathematical physics and related fields;
· present recent developments across the scientific scope of the journal;
· strengthen scholarly ties and collaboration among members of the journal community;
· promote future topical initiatives, invited contributions, and editorial cooperation;
· provide a high-level platform for interaction between senior researchers and emerging scholars.
2. Scientific Topics
The workshop topics will include, but will not be limited to:
· nonlinear equations in mathematical physics;
· difference equations and functional equations;
· integrable and non-integrable systems;
· scattering and inverse scattering, Riemann-Hilbert methods, and Painleve analysis;
· solitons, peakons, and nonlinear waves;
· classical and quantum many-body problems;
· discrete integrable systems and discrete geometry;
· differential geometry and Poisson geometry in mathematical physics;
· geometry and algebra of nonlinear equations;
· applications of Lie groups, Lie algebras, and higher structures;
· field theory, gauge theory, and geometric quantization;
· quantum algebras and related algebraic structures;
· complex fluids;
· stochastic, fractional, and nonlocal models;
· numerical simulations and scientific computing;
· nonlinear problems in optics, signal processing, and nanoscience;
· biomathematical modeling and nonlinear dynamics on networks.

5. Financial Support and Local Arrangements
