全国PDE博士生论坛旨在为从事偏微分方程研究的在读博士研究生和刚毕业的青年学者(获博士学位的时间不超过两年)搭建学术交流和成果展示平台，聚集优秀博士生进行学术思想交流、促进科研合作。为鼓励原创、树立榜样，论坛面向全国偏微分方程研究方向的博士生征集学术论文，并公平、公正、客观地评选出若干篇优秀学术论文给予奖励表彰。
全国PDE博士生论坛已成功举办四届：复旦大学(第一届,2018年11月)、北京大学(第二届,2019年10月)、中国科学技术大学(第三届,2020年11月)、厦门大学(第四届,2022年4月)。吉林大学将于2023年9月举办“第五届和第六届全国PDE博士生论坛”。
