We focus on Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev system, regularity of solutions to incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and the steady incompressible Euler system to illustrate the ideas, methods and possible applications. Various types of maximum principles, Liouville type theorems, classification of solutions are studied. These are interesting problems with many applications eg a priori estimates etc. We give a brief introduction on the problems, the related methods, and some results with applications. Most of the results presented here are the joint work with Wenxiong Chen, Chenkai Liu, Yingshu Lv, Chunjing Xie and Ran Zhuo.
