In this talk, we will recall some history of two-grid method. We can find that the classical two-grid method does not work by employing the first type edge element. The natural reason is its lower interpolation error. Then we adopt the super-convergent strategy on coarse mesh, and get a superconvergent solution. Then take it as the initial value or correct value of the constructed linearized problem on fine mesh. Such an idea can make the classical two-grid method work smoothing. Approximating two nonlinear problems, Maxwell’s equations with a thermal effect and wave propagation with Debye polarization in nonlinear dielectric materials, can demonstrate our idea.
